ALOHA!

It is possible to see the Friday night fireworks from the Queens Beach area of Waikiki. It will be a distant view but you can watch them from the southern end of Queens Beach. You can sit or stand on the beach itself or the paved path that runs along the ocean near the Queens Walkway and Barefoot Beach Cafe.

I went to Queens Beach to watch the fireworks, so I have pictures below!

The fireworks launch from the opposite end of Waikiki from the Hilton Hawaiian Village. This means that the view from Queens Beach isn’t an up-close viewing spot to watch the fireworks. But it’s a convenient spot to go if you are staying on the Queens Beach side of Waikiki and don’t want to go too far.

πŸ‘† There’s a walking pathway that goes along the ocean in the beach area of Kapiolani Park. You’ll pass the Surfer on a Wave statue that’s on the sidewalk at Queens Beach. It becomes pretty much directly along the ocean once you get to the Queens Walkway, and you will soon see the Barefoot Beach Cafe directly alongside the pathway.

Fort DeRussy Beach vs Queens Beach for watching the fireworks

You can go to Queens Beach to see the fireworks, but the view is a lot better from Fort DeRussy Beach. You’ll be much closer to the launch spot of the Hilton Hawaiian Village, so the fireworks will look much more dramatic. You can take a bus from the Queens Beach side of Waikiki to cut down on some walk time, if you don’t want to walk the 30 minutes each way it takes to get there.
