ALOHA!
You can see the Friday night fireworks from parts of the Kuhio Beach side of Waikiki. They are farther away, but still clearly visible from the Waikiki Wall.
I went to Kuhio Beach to watch the fireworks, so I have pictures below!
Because of the way the Waikiki shoreline curves and because of the beachfront high-rise buildings, you can’t see the fireworks very well (if at all) from some parts of Kuhio Beach. For this reason, if you want to stay near Kuhio Beach to see the fireworks, the best spot to go is the Waikiki Wall. This is on the southern end of Kuhio Beach and gives you unobstructed views of the fireworks.
Since the fireworks launch from the Hilton Hawaiian Village at the other end of Waikiki, the view from Kuhio Beach is more distant. It isn’t a front-and-center fireworks experience that you get by going closer to the Hilton Hawaiian Village, but itβs an easy option if you donβt want to go far and will be happy to see the fireworks even if it’s from further away.

Fort DeRussy Beach vs Kuhio Beach for watching the fireworks
You can see the fireworks from parts of Kuhio Beach, but the view from Fort DeRussy Beach is much better. You’ll be a lot closer to the Hilton Hawaiian Village launch spot, and this means that the fireworks look much more dramatic! If you don’t want to walk 30 minutes both ways to get there and back, you can take a bus from the Kuhio Beach side of Waikiki to cut down on some walk time.
