ALOHA!

The Queen Kapiolani Statue at Kapiolani Park in Waikiki honors the Hawaiian royal queen who is remembered for her compassion and support of Hawaiian health and education. You can visit Iolani Palace in downtown Honolulu to see what Queen Kapiolani’s bedroom was like when she lived there. She was born on the Big Island of Hawaii and spent her final years living a quiet life in Waikiki.

Her name can be seen across Waikiki, including Kapiolani Park, Queens Beach, and the Queen Kapiolani Hotel. Kapiolani Blvd is just outside Waikiki, running through Ala Moana and more.

The statue of Queen KapiΚ»olani is located along a sidewalk right off the Kalakaua Avenue on the non-beach side of Kapiolani Park. It can be a quick stop to see it, and it’s an added excuse to further walk around Kapiolani Park!

I have a short walking route near Queens Beach below that starts at the queen statue!
