ALOHA!
Seeing the Duke Kahanamoku Statue at night feels quieter and more reflective, with the statue lit up against the backdrop of the dark sky and palm trees.
You do want to make sure to see the Duke statue during the day, but if you’re looking for a centrally located and quiet beach walk to do at night, it also makes for a perfect starting point!
Below I have for you a short walking route you can do along Waikiki Beach in the evening!

Waikiki walking route
If you end up watching the Friday night fireworks from Kuhio Beach, then this easy walking route can be perfect to do afterwards!
Stop #1: Duke Kahanamoku statue

π Aloha, Duke!

π Right near the Duke Kahanamoku Statue, you’ll see surfboards lined up at Kuhio Beach.
Waikiki is a perfect place to take beginner surf lessons!
Stop #2: Moana Surfrider resort (from the beach)
π From the Duke statue, head towards the beach and start walking towards the Moana Surfrider beachfront resort.

π In just a few minutes of walking on the beach, you will see the banyan courtyard of the Moana Surfrider! You can see it directly from the beach, and it’s a banyan tree that’s fun to see at night because of the way it’s lit up. You can distinctly see the unique features of the tree.
Stop #3: Waikiki Beach shoreline view

π You can keep on walking along the beach! Look back and you’ll see the Waikiki shoreline lit up! Bring a towel or beach mat so you can sit and do nothing but listen to the sound of the waves!
