ALOHA!
As you walk into the International Market Place through Kalakaua Avenue in Waikiki, you’ll naturally come across the Don Ho statue. This is a tribute to the singer and musician who became so popular that there was a time he was selling out almost all of his shows in Waikiki. Don Ho is most famous for the song Tiny Bubbles of the 1960s.
He is there smiling with open arms to welcome you to the International Market Place! He can also be your starting point for looking around at the massive and impressive banyan tree.
A little more below with pictures on walking around the International Market Place near the Don Ho statue!

Waikiki walking route
Kalakaua Avenue is one of the main roads that runs through Waikiki. Walk into the International Market Place off of Kalakaua Avenue, and you will just walk straight in and look for Don Ho!
Stop #1: Don Ho statue

π Aloha, Don Ho!

π If you walk in through the Kalakaua Ave side of the International Market Place, you will quickly see the International Market Place sign at the banyan tree and the Don Ho statue is near the sign.
π Don Ho is surrounded by the banyan tree. Be sure to have a look around to see how the tree is all connected!
Stop #2: Treehouse

π Next you can head up the escalator towards the treehouse, and you’ll be able to see more of how the tree is all connected… and the Don Ho statue down below!

π Continue the walk towards Don’s treehouse, which is to remember Don the Beachcomber. This is a different Don who also has a place in Waikikiβs history. It’s fun to see the way the tree is spread out!
Stop #3: Queen’s Courtyard

π Next you can continue your walk further and you will come across the Queen’s Courtyard.Β This is the location of a free hula show (O Na Lani Sunset Stories hula show), as well as the Queens luau. This is also where you can see the Queen Emma statue.
